Introducing monthly service reports in Touchbase
Our new monthly service reports are now available in the Browns customer portal, giving you a clearer view of your delivery performance, transport activity and spend.
Developed as part of Touchbase, our in-house transport management system, the reports bring together the information you need to review your service, understand any issues and make informed decisions about your logistics.
Your month at a glance
Each report opens with a summary of your on time and in full (OTIF) performance, the number of consignments moved and your total service spend.
You can see how delivery performance compares with the service target, with a breakdown by account where you have more than one. This makes it easier to spot differences across your operation that might otherwise be hidden within an overall figure.

Understanding the exceptions
A percentage tells you how the month went. Understanding the reasons behind missed deliveries helps us work together to improve the next one.
Your report separates exceptions attributed to Browns, customer-related issues and circumstances outside either party’s control. It also highlights the most common reason for a miss and lists the affected consignments, with customer references, job numbers and recorded explanations.
That gives us a clear basis for service reviews and helps identify recurring issues that need attention, such as delivery booking requirements or incorrect address details.

A closer look at your freight
Alongside delivery performance, you’ll find a breakdown of the consignments, pallets and total weight moved during the month.
Reports show your use of economy and next-day services, the mix of full, half and quarter pallets, and average shipment sizes and weights. These figures help you understand your freight profile and provide useful context when reviewing booking patterns, pallet utilisation or opportunities to consolidate movements.

Clearer visibility of your spend
The service charge section separates the cost of transport from surcharges and extras, alongside your total monthly spend and average cost per consignment and pallet.
Having these figures together makes budget monitoring and internal reporting easier. As more monthly reports become available, you’ll also be able to compare costs and activity over time, taking account of changes in your volumes and service requirements.
Available directly in your portal
To access your report, log in to the Browns customer portal and select Service Reports from the left-hand menu. Choose the month you want to review, then view the report within Touchbase or select Download PDF to save a copy.
Account administrators can control who sees service reports through a dedicated access switch in the Users section.
We’re continuing to develop the reports as our teams settle further into Touchbase, refining how exceptions are captured and adding useful detail. There’s more to come, with each update giving you a fuller understanding of your service.
