As IT Systems Support Administrator, you'll be the go-to person for helping our team with any tech-related challenges. You'll assist colleagues by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, making sure everything runs smoothly. With your strong technical skills and knack for problem-solving, you'll play a key role in keeping our IT systems in top shape.

About your responsibilities...

Your purpose
A key part of your role will be liaising with our third party software and IT service provider day-to-day, providing technical support to the team and resolving IT-related issues quickly and efficiently. You’ll also help to plan and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure best practices. Staying up-to-date with new technology trends and working with a variety of technologies and systems will be essential for success in this position.

  • Oversee day-to-day technical support services from our third party provider to ensure seamless operations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and computer systems to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Manage desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, ensuring all systems are up-to-date.
  • Ensure our company's IT structure is robust and efficient by handling software upgrades, user training, troubleshooting, and network management.
  • Act as the administrator for our corporate software systems, deploying and enforcing security tools, policies, and procedures to protect company information.


Key accountabilities
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and security of our IT systems. You will:

  • Procure, maintain, and administer computers and office equipment.
  • Support colleagues by resolving IT issues, assisting with onboarding, and advising on policies and systems.
  • Suggest and implement improvements in procedures and equipment.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and permissions.
  • Collaborate with our third party software and IT services provider to ensure effective IT service delivery.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates on IT equipment and systems.
  • Assist in IT projects and initiatives as required.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on software and hardware usage.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding IT security and usage.
  • Maintain knowledge of IT support, help desk procedures, products, and services.
  • Manage an issues tracking system and report on issue resolution SLAs.

 

About you!

We’re looking for someone who:

  • is dependable, professional and amenable

  • is resourceful, inventive and self-confident
  • has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • is able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • has good, formal presentation skills
  • has prior experience with IT support tools and ticketing systems
  • is great at managing relationships with third party and agency contacts


The successful candidate must:

  • have prior experience in an IT support role and process mapping
  • have strong knowledge of Windows OS
  • have good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • have basic understanding of networking principles (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

You get bonus points if you have a further education qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
